The world’s biggest gaming expo, Gamescom 2024, takes place from August 21 to August 25. More than 1,400 exhibitors, including manufacturers of hardware and software, and game content, will be present. Samsung’s 800m exhibit, which is the company’s biggest and most immersive booth to date, will include models from the Odyssey G6, G8, and G9 series as well as the new Odyssey 3D, among other high-end gaming monitors.

Odyssey 3D: Glasses-Free 3D Gaming
A lenticular lens on the front panel of the Odyssey 3D is used in conjunction with cutting-edge light field display (LFD) technology to produce realistic 3D pictures from 2D material. Without the need for additional 3D glasses, Odyssey 3D offers an optimal 3D experience when combined with Eye Tracking and View Mapping technologies. A built-in stereo camera is used by Eye Tracking to track the movements of both eyes, while View Mapping continually modifies the picture to improve depth perception.
Depending on the user’s desire, the Odyssey 3D can fluidly convert between 2D and 3D modes. With its 4K resolution display, quick 1ms gray-to-gray (GTG) reaction time, and fast refresh rate of 165Hz, this monitor which comes in 27″ and 37″ sizes ensures fluid gaming free from pauses or afterimages.
