Asus ROG NUC Mini PC
The ROG NUC, which Asus unveiled at CES 2024, Asus NUC ROG now accessible in the EU. The gaming mini PC’s US price has now been revealed by the company. The official website lists the base configuration, which includes the Nvidia RTX 4060 and Intel Core Ultra 7 155H, at $1,629 for it.

Given these costs, the Asus NUC ROG is among the priciest small PCs available. The specifications, however, are essentially the same as those found in expensive gaming laptops.

Even though those laptops come with a functioning display, keyboard, and battery, the Asus NUC ROG also has advantages. For instance, the gaming mini PC can accommodate up to three SSDs. Additionally, a variety of connectivity ports are included with the small computer. Out of them, two are DisplayPort 1.4a, one is Thunderbolt 4, and four are USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A.

The fact that the Asus NUC ROG will be available and takes up less desk space than a standard gaming laptop is another selling point. 155H Intel Core Ultra 7
With 16 cores (6 + 8 + 2) and 22 threads available, the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H is a top-tier laptop processor from the Meteor Lake series. This first-generation Core Ultra chip, which has 16 cores total 6 HT-enabled Performance cores operating at up to 4.8 GHz and 10 Efficient cores eight main cores plus two additional ones located in the Low Power Island operating at up to 3.8 GHz, has replaced the 13th generation Core chips.
Fresh out of the oven, the integrated graphics adapter is an 8-core Arc GPU that can operate at up to 2.30 GHz. A plethora of other cutting-edge technologies are also available, such as an integrated AI Boost Asus NUC ROG with two Gen 3 engines for hardware AI workload acceleration.

If one is inclined to believe Intel’s official performance statistics, the Ryzen 9 6900HX (Zen 3 Plus, 8 cores, 16 threads, up to 4.9 GHz) and the 155H are roughly equal in terms of multi-thread performance. This isn’t a groundbreaking finding, but rather than drawing conclusions too quickly, let’s wait for the results of our internal testing.

RTX 4060 NVIDIA GeForce
NVIDIA’s high-end laptop GPU is the GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU (Codename GN21-X4). Ada Lovelace architecture is used, and it is based on the AD107 chip. With an effective clock speed of 16 Gbps and a 128 Bit memory bus, the RTX 4060 laptop has 3072 shaders and 8 GB of dedicated GDDR6 graphics memory. There are different performance levels depending on the TGP (Total Graphics Power) configuration, which ranges from 35 to 115 Watt (+ 15–25 Watt Dynamic Boost from the CPU). There are two boost clock speeds: 1470 MHz (at 35 Watt TGP) and 2370 MHz (115W).
An average RTX 4060 performs between a mobile RTX 3070 and a mobile RTX 3070 Ti in synthetic benchmarks. According to some reviews, GPUs with lower power limits (such as 45 Watt variants) perform noticeably worse up to 75% worse. The RTX 4060 mobile’s average gaming performance is perfect for demanding games at the highest settings in 1920×1080. Games that are not as demanding can run smoothly in QHD (such as Baldurs Gate 3).
