The Elec, Apple is reportedly planning to launch the iPad Pro with an OLED screen in Spring 2024. This aligns with the typical 18-month cadence for iPad Pro releases, as the last update occurred in October 2022. While rumors about an iPad Pro with OLED have circulated for some time, the release date has been uncertain, with mentions of late 2024 or even 2025.

The display sizes would grow, though only by a tenth of an inch, meaning the smaller model would have an 11.1-inch display and the larger 13 inches. Enough to be noticeable, but only just, perhaps.

OLED technology offers several advantages over LED LCD, including energy savings, improved color fidelity, and higher contrast levels. It can also result in a thinner design, potentially making the iPad Pro even slimmer than its current form. The switch to OLED would also address the existing disparity where only the 12.9-inch iPad Pro model features mini LED backlighting.

Apple has always seen the best quality of its displays. Although slow to adopt OLED, it seems that the iPad will finally join the OLED club. The benefits of OLED technology, such as perfect blacks and power efficiency, will enhance the iPad Pro experience. Apple’s commitment to display quality remains strong, and they continue to explore new technologies to deliver the best visual experience to their customers.

While the report does not mention the specific processor that will power the next iPad Pro, a Spring 2024 release would likely allow for the utilization of the Apple M3 chip, which is expected to be released later this year.

Note the above information will rumors, Apple has not officially confirmed any information regarding an iPad Pro with OLED. Therefore, it’s always advisable to wait for official announcements from Apple for accurate and confirmed information.
