R284-A91-AAL3 Rack Server
Enhancing Specific Applications with Pertinent Features
The new Intel Xeon 6 processor generation has designed its CPU lineup to address all use cases, including Edge & IOT, AI, Analytics, and Cloud Computing. With its Performance cores (P-cores) and Efficient-cores (E-cores), this new platform supports AI/HPC applications that significantly rely on powerful single-core performance as well as high compute density that is dependent on core count and power efficiency. Intel Xeon 6 meets client needs across the widest spectrum of data centre workloads, segments, and deployment patterns in addition to offering flexible I/O options, integrated accelerators, and support for CXL 2.0 devices.

For the newest Gen Intel Xeon Platform, choose GIGABYTE
Superior CPU Efficiency
The optimal computational performance depends on a system that the engineers have carefully devised to disperse heat in a sufficient manner.
Efficiency of Energy
In order to increase the efficiency of power supply and server fans, the experts have built in features. In addition to Platinum and Titanium products.
Ideal Cost
GIGABYTE offers a variety of product models and configurations to cater to specific consumer needs without charging for unnecessary extra features.
Ease of Administration
For server administration, GIGABYTE servers come with the GIGABYTE Management Console. The secret to making management easier is to use a web-based browser remotely.
Constant Function
Systems undergo extensive testing and design to guarantee there won’t be any downtime. Consumers now anticipate consistent performance.
Superior Performance
In gigabyte servers, CXL
In order to allow flexible memory configurations for AI, HPC, and cloud applications, CXL technology has been tested in GIGABYTE servers. It increases memory capacity with near-direct-attached-DRAM latency and optimises resource utilisation by providing fast, cache-coherent communications between CPUs and connected devices.
- CPU & DIMM DRAM: Traditional memory’s fastest access.
- PCIe-Attached DRAM: GIGABYTE servers have been verified for CXL and can accommodate additional cards for further flexibility or memory expansion via E3.S PCIe.
- Storage-Attached Memory: Increasing memory capacity with storage devices, such as SSDs or HDDs, which improve scalability and resource allocation.
Efficiency of Power
Controlling Fan Speed Automatically
Automatic Fan Speed Control is activated on GIGABYTE servers to maximise cooling and power efficiency. Temperature sensors positioned thoughtfully throughout the servers will automatically modify each fan speed.
Cold Redundancy
For servers with N+1 power supplies, GIGABYTE has implemented a power management function called Cold Redundancy to capitalise on the fact that a PSU will operate more efficiently when under increased demand. The system will automatically put one PSU into standby mode when the overall system load drops below 40%, increasing efficiency by 10%.
Easy to Use
Tool-less Drive Bays Design
The drive is held firmly in place by a clipping mechanism. In just a few seconds, install or swap out a new drive.
Ready for OCP 3.0
For the upcoming generation of add-on cards, GIGABYTE provides servers with an onboard OCP 3.0 slot. This new type has the following benefits:
Simple Serviceability:
Just insert or remove the card without accessing the server or utilising any tools.
Better thermal design:
Air conditioning is made possible by the horizontal position and ideal heat sink design, which effectively removes heat.
Security of Hardware
TPM 2.0 Module Option
To stop unauthorised users from accessing your data, digital certificates, encryption keys, and passwords are kept in a TPM module for hardware-based authentication. GIGABYTE TPM modules are available in Low Pin Count or Serial Peripheral Interface bus configurations.
High Availability
SmaRT, or Smart Ride Through
GIGABYTE integrates SmaRT into all of the server solutions to guard against server outages and data loss due to AC power outages. The system will throttle in response to such an occurrence, preserving availability and lowering power consumption. The power supply’s capacitors can provide power for 10–20 ms, which is sufficient time to switch to a backup power source and keep running.
SCMP stands for Smart Crises Management and Protection
Servers with non-fully redundant PSU designs use SCMP, a GIGABYTE-patented function. By forcing the CPU into an ultra-low power mode that lowers the power load in the event of a malfunctioning PSU or an overheated system, SCMP keeps the system from shutting down unexpectedly and guards against component damage and data loss.
Dual ROM Architecture
The backup BMC and/or BIOS will replace the primary when the system reboots if the ROM containing the BIOS and BMC does not boot. The backup BMC’s ROM will automatically update the backup through synchronisation as soon as the primary BMC is updated. Depending on the firmware version selected by the user, the BIOS can be updated.
Management with additional value
GIGABYTE provides administration software at no cost with a dedicated tiny processor integrated into the server.
GIGABYTE Control Panel
Users can utilise the GIGABYTE Management Console, which comes pre-installed on every server, to manage and maintain a server or small cluster. Once the servers are operational, the browser-based graphical user interface allows IT personnel to control and monitor each server’s health in real time. Furthermore, the GIGABYTE Management Console offers:
- Support for industry-standard IPMI requirements that enable open interface integration of services onto a single platform
- Automatic event recording makes it simpler to decide what to do next by recording system behaviour 30 seconds before an event happens.
- To monitor and manage Broadcom MegaRAID adapters, integrate SAS/SATA/NVMe devices and RAID controller firmware into GIGABYTE Management Console.
GIGABYTE Server Management (GSM)
Clusters of servers can be managed simultaneously over the internet using the GSM software suite. All GIGABYTE servers can run GSM, and it supports both Linux and Windows. GSM conforms with IPMI and Redfish standards and is available for download from the GIGABYTE website. Among the many system administration features offered by GSM are the following tools:
- GSM Server: A piece of software that allows for real-time, remote control via a graphical user interface via a cluster server or an administrator’s PC. Large server clusters can be easily maintained to the software.
- GSM CLI: A command-line tool for remote management and monitoring.
- GSM Agent: A piece of software that is installed on every GIGABYTE server node and integrates with GSM Server or GSM CLI to retrieve data from every system and device via the operating system.
- GSM Mobile: An iOS and Android mobile app that gives administrators access to real-time system data.
- The GSM Plugin is an application program interface that enables users to monitor and control server clusters in real time using VMware vCenter.
