MSI is planning to launch a new variant of the upcoming GeForce RTX 4060 Ti with 16 GB of VRAM. This variant will feature an elegant white color scheme and is part of MSI’s new “GAMING X SLIM” series, known for its thinner design compared to other GPUs. The GPU will come with a triple-fan configuration and a complete white design, including white fan blades. It will also have RGB lighting, with an RGB strip included alongside the shroud.

The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Gaming X Slim is a new addition to MSI’s Gaming series of graphics cards. It is part of the custom GeForce RTX 4060 Ti lineup from MSI. The Gaming X Slim model features a more compact design with a standard dual-slot form factor, unlike other SKUs that may occupy up to 2.5 slots. This particular graphics card is aimed at DIY enthusiasts who want a white build, as it comes with a triple-fan shroud sporting a silver and white trim.

Both the 8GB and 16GB versions of the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti utilize the same AD106 silicon, which is slightly cut down compared to the full version. They feature 4,352 CUDA cores and have identical clock speeds. Since the Gaming X Slim carries the “Gaming X” branding from MSI, it is likely to come with a small factory overclock for improved performance. The graphics card’s thermal design power (TDP) should be equal to or slightly higher than the standard 165W TDP. Despite featuring a 16-pin power connector, a minimum of a 450W power supply is recommended to power the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Gaming X Slim.

The pricing for the “GAMING X SLIM” variant has not been officially disclosed yet, but it is expected to be within the range of $550 to $600, based on previous coverage. It seems that the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB model has not generated much interest from NVIDIA’s board partners, so there may be fewer variants initially available. The GPU is set to be released on July 18th with a starting MSRP of $499 for custom models.
