NTT DATA Business Solutions: IBM watsonx for Generative AI Center of Excellence
NTT DATA benefits IBM watsonx for Generative AI
The launch of a Center of Excellence (CoE) for the Watsonx generative AI platform has been announced by NTT DATA Business Solutions and IBM. The joint CoE’s main goal is to help clients develop embedded generative AI solutions by utilizing IBM Watsonx AI and data platform along with Watsonx AI assistants. Through the CoE, NTT DATA Business Solutions’ industry knowledge and IBM technology are combined to assist NTT DATA Business Solutions clients in scaling and accelerating the impact of generative AI.
According to Norbert Rotter, CEO of NTT DATA Business Solutions and EVP of NTT DATA, Inc., “despite being based in Denmark, this initiative is a global endeavor, empowering our customers worldwide.”
NTT DATA’s it.human platform, which combines IBM Watsonx capabilities, machine learning, speech recognition, natural language processing, and conversational AI to improve the customer experience, benefits greatly from the CoE’s assistance in expanding new use cases for generative AI.
IBM Ecosystem General Manager Kate Woolley stated, “As businesses move to adopt generative AI, they need the right client and industry expertise, combined with the best open technology.” Through our collaboration with NTT DATA Business Solutions, IBM and we are able to jointly develop purpose-built, flexible, open, and transparent solutions for our clients.
In order to develop use cases and give clients access to foundation models and best practices to help with Watsonx platform projects, the partnership also makes use of IBM’s training, education, and technological resources, including IBM Cloud. Sales resources are furnished by NTT DATA Business Solutions to the CoE for customer engagement, use case development, and AI product implementation.
“They anticipate a rise in customer-side investment in AI this year,” states Nicolaj Vang Jessen, NTT DATA SAP TFA’s EVP of Global Innovation & Industry Consulting and NTT DATA Business Solutions’ regional NEE manager. “The CoE, strengthened by IBM’s extraordinary competence, harmonizes our resources, methodologies, and industry expertise.”
At the IBM TechXchange Summit EMEA in Barcelona, a sneak peek at the work in progress will be provided by Thomas Noermark, Global Head of Innovation at NTT DATA Business Solutions, and Thor Hauberg, Director Venture Lab and Digital Business Transformation at NTT DATA Business Solutions, who will share their expertise in multiple sessions.

[…] Artificial intelligence and machine learning are used by intent-based networking to prescribe and carry out routine tasks, establish policies, react to system events, and confirm that objectives and actions have been met. For instance, if it’s necessary to accomplish a particular goal, it can enable servers to be reached from particular networks. In addition to configuring network changes, the system can also verify that they are being carried out and make any necessary adjustments. Intent-based networking, which is seen as a development of software-defined networking (SDN), expands on that technology by allowing a higher degree of intelligence to specify which tasks should be automated.
