SC23 Prepares to Soar: GIGABYTE’s Advanced Cooling Portfolio

GIGABYTE Sustainable Data Center Cooling

A pioneer in the market for high-performance servers, workstations, and server motherboards, Giga Computing, a GIGABYTE subsidiary, announced today the release of direct liquid cooling (DLC) multi-node servers for the NVIDIA Grace CPU and NVIDIA Grace Hopper Superchip. A high-density server for AMD EPYC 9004 CPUs and a DLC compatible Intel-based server for the NVIDIA HGX H100 8-GPU architecture are also available. There’s also a brand-new 12U single-phase immersion tank for maximum efficiency. At SC23, GIGABYTE booth #355 will feature all of the aforementioned goods.

The AMD EPYC-based H273-Z80-LAN1 and Intel Xeon-based H263-S63-LAN1 are two recently announced high-density CPU servers. All eight CPUs in these 2U 4 node servers use DLC, and despite dense computing, CPU performance is optimized. GIGABYTE debuted new NVIDIA HGX H100 servers in August, and the G593-SD0-LAX1 DLC version for NVIDIA HGX H100 8-GPU is the latest addition to the G593 series.

By advancing liquid and immersion cooling technologies, GIGABYTE is dedicated to enhancing sustainability and energy efficiency in data centers. As a result, its most recent DLC servers show how to respond to the market. The improved performance of the current generation of processors has prompted the development of beneficial solutions that enable sustainable peak system performance using DLC technology and increase power use efficiency (PUE).

In the GIGABYTE GPU G363-SR0 server, which has two CPUs and four GPUs that are liquid cooled, as well as in the high-density H273-Z80 server, which is a 2U, four node, eight CPU server, we have previously proven DLC cold plates for 4th generation CPUs and NVIDIA HGX H100 GPUs. After cold plates, GIGABYTE now provides coolant distribution units (CDUs) from partner Motivair to provide a comprehensive DLC solution in addition to GIGABYTE servers, racks, manifolds, and cold plates for quick deployment.

Using single-phase immersion cooling, GIGABYTE introduced the A1P0-EA0, a new 12U EIA immersion tank, expanding its line of immersion tanks, which currently includes the A1O3-CC0 immersion tank for 18OU OCP servers and the A1P0-EB0 immersion tank for 21U EIA servers.

Customers can select from they extensive server portfolio of AI & HPC, cloud, and edge computing solutions when interacting with GIGABYTE sales to investigate server platforms. Many GIGABYTE G-series and H-series servers will also keep adding new DLC SKUs with either an optional GIGABYTE DLC kit or the default Cool IT Systems kit.
