Outstanding sound in a mid-range, application-programmable platform that supports Auracast broadcast audio and LE Audio, Hybrid Adaptive active noise cancellation, and a wider range of Snapdragon Sound features, such as
Qualcomm most sophisticated mid-tier audio platform to date, the Qualcomm S3 Gen 2 Sound Platform, was created to assist manufacturers in creating a new generation of small, feature-rich wireless speakers, headsets, and earbuds.
Support for a variety of innovative and thrilling LE Audio experiences, such as Unicast, Broadcast, and Auracast, is made possible by the ultra-low power performance Bluetooth 5.4 dual mode radio on which this platform is based.
Delivering new user experiences with Bluetooth LE Audio
A variety of LE Audio-enabled use cases for earbuds and stereo headphones, including as audio sharing, broadcasting, and game mode with Bluetooth 5.4 features, are compatible with the Qualcomm S3 Gen 2 Sound Platform. The benefits of LE Audio and traditional Bluetooth are combined in these dual-mode platforms to facilitate seamless feature adoption for everyday listening situations. The Qualcomm QCC5181 WLCSP package is made to assist manufacturers in creating a variety of products, ranging from wireless speakers and stereo headsets to incredibly tiny earbuds that are comfortable enough to wear for extended periods of time, in response to the growing consumer demand for smarter devices with greater compute power and smaller form factors.
Exceptional sound across devices with Snapdragon Sound
Additional Snapdragon Sound features are supported by the Qualcomm S3 Gen 2 Sound Platform, including better robustness and lossless audio quality, a 48 ms latency, and voice back-channel for in-game communication. Additionally, these platforms enable up to three microphones with Qualcomm cVc Echo Cancelling and Noise Suppression (ECNS), 32kHz super wideband voice calls, and aptX Voice technology for crystal clear calls.
Immersive sound experiences with Dynamic Spatial Audio
For a more realistic and engaging spatial audio experience, this solution is tuned between the phone and the earbuds to guarantee incredibly low latency. The Qualcomm S3 Gen 2 Sound Platform on the earbud side offers earbud to earbud cross head rotation alignment, low power consumption for extended wear, optimized latency for lag-free experience, and the own proprietary head orientation algorithm. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 on the phone supports spatialization and stereo rotation.
Integrated, hybrid adaptive noise cancellation
Third-generation Qualcomm Hybrid Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which enhances the listening experience by adjusting to the user’s external surroundings as well as the in-ear fit, is supported by the Qualcomm S3 Gen 2 Sound Platform. Additionally, the Qualcomm Hybrid Adaptive ANC has a Adaptive Transparency mode with intelligent speech recognition to facilitate seamless transitions between natural-sounding leak-through and immersive noise cancellation when a listener needs to hear their surroundings. It improved Qualcomm Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology assists audio device makers in resolving typical problems like wind noise, howling, and unfavorable occurrences.
