AirPods Max 2024 will include USB-C charging but no H2 chip
Leaked material from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman suggests that the next iteration of Apple’s premium AirPods Max, which is expected to be released in late 2024, will not be very impressive. The modifications seem to be restricted to the inclusion of USB-C charging and the addition of new hues, leaving aficionados with very little for which to get enthusiastic about the device.
The next iteration of the AirPods Max is not expected to be released by Iphone until the last quarter from 2024, and according to the assessments of Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the forthcoming modifications are anticipated to be quite subdued.
Gurman emphasizes in the most recent issue of his Power On newsletter that the anticipated changes would mostly center on new hues and an enhanced charging mechanism. Iphone will, especially, replace the Lightning connection with a port that supports USB-C.
The modification is being ascribed also Apple’s requirement to comply with the European Union’s regulations and implement a common powering mechanism throughout the company’s whole product Distance, especially the Apple AirPods portfolio.
However, more sophisticated features like as the H2 chip, which is recognized for capabilities such as Adaptive Audio, Conversation Awareness, and Personalized Volume, are not anticipated to be included into the AirPods Max in the near future.
This is because the H2 chip is a relatively new addition to Apple’s product lineup. When one considers that these functions already exist in Apple’s AirPods Pro, which retail for a price that is substantially lower than the Max, this comes as a huge letdown for anybody who was looking forward to seeing them in Apple’s premium AirPods.
Gurman does, however, offer a sliver of chance for revisions in Apple’s plans between now and the anticipated arrival of the revised AirPods Max. This sliver of possibility is quite small.
It is important to note that the AirPods Max will be over four years old by the time Apple releases the improvements, and in light of the fact that they come with a high price tag in addition to recent competition from Bose and Sony, it will be fascinating to watch how Apple manages to maintain the premium headphones appealing to prospective consumers given their age and the recent rivalry from Bose and Sony.
