Micro Center has announced that it will exclusively sell the new AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D processor for $229 while supplies last. This limited-edition processor features six cores and 12 threads, along with 96MB of total L3 cache and 3D V-Cache technology. It is compatible with AM4 platforms that support DDR4 memory, providing an affordable option for budget gaming systems. The Ryzen 5 5600X3D is part of AMD’s lineup of gaming-specific X3D processors, which range in price from $229 to $669.

The Ryzen 5 5600X3D is expected to offer faster gaming performance than Intel’s Core i5-13400 processors, which currently dominate the mid-range gaming market. Despite similar pricing, the Ryzen 5 5600X3D has the potential to rival more expensive processors, such as AMD’s own Ryzen 9 7950X, making it a strong contender in terms of value.
