Mastering 3D Rendering with AMD Radeon Pro

The AMD Radeon PRO W7600 workstation graphics card outperforms the previous generation by 2X in terms of TFLOPS performance1 and 1.5X in terms of maximum total data rate for displays2.

AMD today announced two new workstation graphics cards to its AMD RadeonTM PRO W7000 Series product line: the AMD RadeonTM PRO W7600 and AMD RadeonTM PRO W7500. The new graphics cards are intended to handle common workloads in a variety of professional areas, including Media & Entertainment, Design & Manufacturing, and Architecture, Engineering & Construction.

AMD Radeon PRO W7600 and Radeon PRO W7500 graphics cards improve efficiency and performance in common professional tasks. The new graphics cards are built on the ground-breaking AMD RDNATM 3 architecture and are tuned for price/performance leadership, as well as remarkable stability and dependability. Both cards have 8GB of high-speed GDDR6 memory, which allows them to easily support data-intensive applications while also enabling ray-traced renderings with stunning detail and realism. Building on the previously released AMD RadeonTM PRO W7900 and AMD RadeonTM PRO W7800 graphics cards, creators and professional users now have a wider

The aim of AMD is to provide more options for professional users, and these graphics cards do just that,” said Scott Herkelman, senior vice president and general manager of AMD’s Graphics Business Unit. “The AMD Radeon PRO W7600 and Radeon PRO W7500 graphics cards deliver exceptional performance for a wide range of professional applications, including CAD, BIM, and others, while providing incredible levels of visual fidelity and setting a new performance standard for mid-range professional graphics.”

Working across multiple displays in SOLIDWORKS® while also prepping for 3D printing is flawless,” remarked Dr. Adi Pandzic, PhD, mechanical engineer. “The new 7000 series Radeon PRO cards enable me to easily multitask across all of my key apps.”

“Outside of heavy animation rendering, typical day-to-day production doesn’t necessarily require crazy amounts of graphics memory,” stated Rob Terry, senior designer/manager & 3D visualization specialist at Stantec Architecture. “These new mid-range GPUs give our BIM design team even more options.”

AMD Radeon PRO W7000 Series workstation graphics cards are designed to assist professionals meet high-pressure deadlines while providing world-class outcomes under increasingly restrictive budgets. Key characteristics include:

• AMD RDNA 3 Architecture – Redesigned compute units with unified raytracing and AI accelerators, second-generation AMD Infinity CacheTM technology, and second-generation raytracing technology are all included. It also provides AEC, D&M, and M&E process enhancements for 3D modeling, animation, rendering, video editing, and general multitasking.

• Dedicated AI Acceleration – New AI instructions and enhanced AI throughput give nearly two times the speed of the prior AMD RDNA 2 architecture3.

• 8GB of storage GDDR6 Memory – Allows professionals and artists to easily manage data-intensive work while also enabling outstanding ray-traced renderings with incredible details and realism.

• AMD Radiance Display Engine with DisplayPortTM 2.1 compatibility – Display outputs offer next-generation displays and multi-monitor setup choices, creating an ultra-immersive visual environment, with 12-bit HDR color compatibility and over 68 billion colors.

• AV1 Encode/Decode – With full AV1 encode/decode capability built for high resolutions, wide color gamut, and high-dynamic range upgrades, dual encode/decode media engines provide new multimedia experiences.4.

• Improved Driver Performance and Professional Application Certification – AMD Software: PRO Edition, which delivers a modern and intuitive user interface, supports all AMD Radeon PRO workstation GPUs. AMD continues to collaborate with leading professional software application vendors to develop a comprehensive certification program, ensuring AMD Radeon PRO graphics cards are built for demanding 24/7 environments and tested to meet exceptional standards, delivering the ideal balance of performance and stability.
