Intel 200S Boost Overclocking Profile: Increase your game performance with Intel-protected overclocking.

Intel is launching Intel 200S Boost, an overclocking profile developed to maximise performance for Intel Core Ultra 200S series CPUs (K-SKUs), for PC enthusiasts who wish to experiment with overclocking with the guarantee of a warranty.

When used in conjunction with compatible Intel Z890 motherboards and the proper Intel XMP memory modules (DIMMs), the 200S Boost overclocking profile is intended for unlocked Intel Core Ultra 200S Series processors (such as the Intel Core Ultra 7 265K). Higher fabric, die-to-die, and memory frequencies can be attained by users as a result, improving performance for low-latency tasks like gaming. Eligible Intel Core Ultra 200S series processors will continue to be covered by Intel’s three-year limited warranty in addition to any possible performance improvements.

Hardware Restrictions

Overclocking depends on a number of factors, including motherboard layout, design, and BIOS optimisations. It’s possible that some motherboards aren’t optimised to activate the Intel 200S Boost profile. Furthermore, not every memory module has a rating appropriate for the program’s requirements. As with any overclocking attempts, users may see system instability until the overclock is reversed, and estimated speeds are not guaranteed.

The Intel 200S Boost program does not support two memory sticks per channel (2DPC) configurations. With a 4 UDIMM setup, customers may still experience faster memory speeds, depending on the motherboard and/or memory module architecture.

How to Use the 200S Boost Overclocking Profile

  • Update BIOS: To access Intel 200S Boost, make sure your motherboard is running the most recent BIOS version.
  • Turn on the 200S Boost Profile. Go to the overclocking section of your BIOS and choose “Intel 200S Boost” from the list of preset settings.
  • Restart your computer. To activate the Intel 200S Boost profile, restart your desktop computer.
  • Conduct Stability Tests: To confirm system stability, use tools such as Cinebench.
  • Track Performance: If you’d like, you may use monitoring software such as Intel XTU to keep an eye on voltage and temperature.

200S Boost Limitations and Warranty Disclaimers

  • The limited processor warranty offered by Intel will not be voided if an Intel processor is overclocked using the 200S Boost profile. The remaining terms of the warranty are unaltered. Processors that were overclocked prior to the profile debut date are not eligible for this profile.
  • Results from overclocking will differ. The 200S Boost profile makes no promises regarding the stability or attainability of any overclocking frequencies or performance levels.
  • The performance requirements listed in the product information for any Intel component are unaffected by the Intel 200S Boost program.
  • Damage from overclocking to any non-Intel component is not covered by Intel’s guarantee.
  • Processors that come in Intel boxes are covered by the 200S Boost warranty. For assistance with boxed processors, get in touch with Intel support or the retailer. In the event that you bought your PC from a system builder or OEM, the system builder or OEM is the only one offering warranty support. If you have any issues or need warranty help, please get in touch with your OEM or reseller.

Optimising the performance of the Intel Core Ultra 200S series processors (K-SKUs) is simple using the 200S Boost profile. We think this functionality will be helpful to new PC enthusiasts. Intel will use your input to inform future choices about initiatives like Intel 200S Boost.
