Asus RTX 4070 BTF in China

The first cable less graphics card that is ready for manufacturing from Asus is now available for purchase in China. The card, which goes by the name RTX 4070-O12G-BTF, has a secret HPCE power connection that substitutes the 8-pin/16-pin connector that was previously used to provide the card with additional PCIe power. The Asus cable less 4070 may only be bought in a bundle with either a compatible motherboard or a suitable motherboard and case. This is because compatibility requirements prevent the individual components from being sold separately.

Asus’ brand-new RTX 4070 graphics card is a component of the company’s “Back to Future” (BTF) product stack, which places an emphasis on innovative designs that improve the aesthetics of the system ahead of anything else.

Asus’s new design concept contains power connections that are fully concealed from the front of the system, so creating a cleaner and “more minimalist appearance.” These connectors are one component of the company’s new hidden power delivery system.

Tianxuan TX Gaming-RTX4070-O12G-BTF is the complete moniker for the RTX 4070 graphics card. The card has a large triple-fan cooler design and is painted in a color theme that is influenced by Anime. The color scheme is white and light blue.

The fact that there are no more power ports on the sides of the card is, of course, the card’s trump card. Instead, it draws all of the additional power it needs via a tiny HPCE power connection that is situated just beneath the PCie x16 slot. This connector then connects into a larger HPCE connector that is placed on the motherboard.

Tianxuan includes a Tianxuan TX B760-BTF motherboard with every RTX 4070 purchase. This motherboard is compatible with the most recent Alder Lake and Raptor Lake CPUs from Intel. The Anime aesthetic that was used for the graphics card is carried over to the motherboard, which also has a 12+1 power supply system and compatibility for WiFi 6 networking.

The motherboard has a black printed circuit board (PCB) and comes in a regular ATX form factor; however, the majority of the PCB is covered by plastic, much like Asus’s ROG motherboards. The B760-BTF, much as the RTX 4070, has an HPCE connection located beneath the main x16 slot for the purpose of providing power to Asus graphics cards that are compatible with HPCE.

The card may be purchased via one of Asus’ official online retail sites in China; however, it is unclear whether or when the card will make its debut in the North American market. The card is currently only accessible in China. As a single product, the RTX 4070 is priced at 5289 Yuan, which is equivalent to around $727 USD. However, it may also be purchased in a bundle with either a compatible motherboard or a suitable case in addition to the motherboard.

The chassis of the case is an Asus GT502 BTF, and it was built by Asus to be compatible with the company’s concealed EPS and 24-pin motherboard connections, which are located in the rear of the case. The graphics card motherboard combination can be purchased for 6998 Yuan, which is equivalent to $962 USD. On the other hand, the whole bundle, which includes the GPU, motherboard, and case, can be purchased for 8297 Yuan, which is equivalent to $1141 USD.

It is still uncertain if any of these Asus BTF components, which were inspired by Anime, will ever be released in the United States or any other market outside of the Asian area. However, Asus has previously shown its concealed power connection designs in other BTF components by making use of TUF-branded components; hence, we should soon see goods in other markets that sport the HPCE power connector.
