New AirPods Pro with USB-C Port to Launch with iPhone 15 Pro, But Not Worth the Upgrade
It is anticipated that Apple will introduce new AirPods Pro equipped with a USB-C connector at the same time as the iPhone 15 Pro; nevertheless, the update will not be beneficial.
Apple is planning to make a number of significant product enhancements and new feature announcements during the Wonderlust event that will take place on September 12. Apple is likely to reveal the soon-to-be-released Apple Watch Series 9 as well as upgraded AirPods during the event.
While the iPhone 15 range is set to steal the show, Apple is also expected to update its AirPods. Recent reports have suggested that the charging case for the AirPods Pro may get an upgrade in the form of a USB-C connection in the near future; however, the remainder of the design will supposedly continue to be the same.
Apple will improve the AirPods Pro by adding a USB-C port at the Wonderlust iPhone 15 event; nevertheless, the general design will not be altered in any way, so you should not expect any adjustments to be made.
Apple is getting set to deliver the iPhone 15 series, which will mark the company’s transition to using a USB-C connection. In addition, the company plans to bring the new port to its already-existing product range. It makes sense for the end user to own devices that can be charged using a single USB-C connection if they are able to do so. If they are unable to do so, it is not necessary for them to do so.
There were previous speculations that Apple will add a USB-C connection to the AirPods, but the model wasn’t specified in those rumours. Those rumours have now been shown to be false. In the most current edition of the Power On newsletter that Mark Gurman, the author of the newsletter, is responsible for publishing, he makes a reference to the impending inclusion of an extra port to the AirPods ‘Pro’ model.
In addition to this, he said that the design of the device will not undergo any additional modifications in the foreseeable future.
With the release of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro, Apple is finally incorporating a new port into its smartphones. Depending on the manner in which Apple implements them, this port could provide certain extra functionality. Over the course of the next several years, the Lightning connection will be withdrawn from all of the company’s existing products, and USB-C will be put in its place.
This transition will take place over time. The European Union (EU) put in a significant amount of effort, which eventually resulted in the change. Prior to this point, the only iPhones available with a USB-C port were severely modded models that cost several thousand dollars. On September 12, at Apple’s Wonderlust event, the firm is anticipated to unveil the AirPods Pro with USB-C connection concurrently with the iPhone 15 range. This event will take place in the United States.
In June, Apple released iOS 17, which included a number of new features designed expressly for use with the AirPods Pro. As a result of the fact that these features will be appearing on AirPods Pro with a Lightning connection, it is currently unknown whether or not the future USB-C model will have any functionalities that are exclusive to it.
On the other hand, we are able to reason that the new port would allow for a more rapid charging process. In the event that the new port does not come with any additional features, the next model will be almost indistinguishable from the one that is already on the market if this prediction comes true.
It is essential to remember that Apple will only replace the ports on the new AirPods charging case. This is something you should keep in mind. This suggests that there will not be any more adjustments made to the design of the earphones or any of the other components of the product in the foreseeable future.
However, these are just hypotheses, and it is possible that the company may end up altering not only the appearance of the product but also the audio quality of it. Be sure to check back for further information as soon as it becomes available since we will be giving in-depth coverage of the event.
