SEEQC and NVIDIA Announce a Digital Chip-Based Partnership to Speed Up Quantum Supercomputing

Error-corrected quantum supercomputing will be possible with the world’s first entirely digital chip-based quantum-to-GPU integration.

When SEEQC’s chip architecture is successfully integrated with NVIDIA GPUs, it will:

  • Making a chip-based quantum-to-GPU computing system compatible with all quantum computing technologies. The world’s first entirely digital chip-based quantum-to-GPU integration will occur with SEEQC’s digital chip architecture and NVIDIA GPUs.
  • Quantum Supercomputing combines classical and quantum computing. The integration will provide a powerful heterogeneous computing platform.
  • Bringing quantum computing to data centre scale with quantum AI infrastructure. The partnership intends to enable scalable enterprise apps.
  • On-chip, real-time quantum error correction is needed for quantum computers to scale. Low latency is crucial to scalable apps and mistake correction.
  • Enhancing NVIDIA CUDA Quantum for hybrid quantum-classical computation.
  • Making a full-stack quantum computing architecture that supports hybrid quantum AI and ML possible.
  • Achieving low-latency interfaces with maximum bandwidth from each system. High speed, low latency, and high bandwidth require chip-to-chip integration.
  • Enabling enterprise-grade quantum computing. The cooperation seeks to commercialise a ubiquitous, enterprise-grade quantum computing solution.

The digital quantum computing startup SEEQC said that it is collaborating with NVIDIA to create the first all-digital, ultra-low-latency chip-to-chip connection between quantum computers and GPUs that is interoperable with any quantum computing system. This will create a tightly coupled, fully digital integration of quantum and conventional computing technologies, as it will be the first time an active multi-chip module quantum processor is directly connected to both a GPU- and a CPU-operational platform. Since SEEQC’s technology is fully digital, it will eliminate a number of analogue steps and costly, large, and noisy hardware overheads in quantum processing. This will significantly reduce the amount of bandwidth required, lower latency bottlenecks, and open the door to future scalable enterprise applications.

The only business in the world developing a completely digital chip-based quantum computing system that encompasses all quantum technologies is SEEQC. SEEQC will enable functional quantum computing at scale by introducing a new degree of high-speed, low-noise, low-latency quantum computing through the use of the NVIDIA platform.

Combining classical and quantum computing to satisfy the rapidly growing need for artificial intelligence

In order to satisfy the growing demands of compute- and data-intensive enterprise AI, this innovative integration will support research and applications in real-world, practical implementations such as quantum artificial intelligence (AI), quantum machine learning (ML), and other datacenter-scale applications. John Levy, CEO and co-founder of SEEQC, stated, “This all-digital integration will leverage each system for a low-latency interface while maintaining the highest possible bandwidth performance from each individual system.” “The development we’re undertaking with NVIDIA embodies the best of both quantum and classical technology, and when combined, these two fundamental technologies produce compute power never before possible.”

The NVIDIA CUDA Quantum platform for hybrid quantum-classical computing will improve with the integration of quantum and GPUs. An important turning point in SEEQC’s technology strategy is this partnership. SEEQC will now be able to create a full-stack quantum computing architecture that can support hybrid quantum AI and ML programs, scalable real-time error correction, and GPU acceleration, all of which are made possible by SEEQC’s exclusive Single Flux Quantum (SFQ) technology. Each industry will have its own software platform.

Summary

NVIDIA and quantum computing company SEEQC have announced a partnership to create a fully digital, chip-based connection between NVIDIA’s GPUs and quantum computers. Creating a heterogeneous quantum supercomputing platform that works with different quantum computing technologies is the goal of this integration. By fusing the advantages of quantum and classical computing, the collaboration aims to promote developments in fields such as quantum artificial intelligence and enable scalable, real-time quantum error correction. SEEQC and NVIDIA hope to open the door for enterprise-grade quantum computing with far greater computational capacity and wider applicability by establishing a close, low-latency connection.
