Bangalore-based startup QpiAI, a participant in India’s National Quantum Mission (NQM), has announced the launch of QpiAI-Indus, an advanced quantum computer featuring 25 qubit superconducting. This important milestone, revealed on World Quantum Day, April 14, 2025, positions at the lead of quantum technology development in India and subsidizes directly to the NQM’s determined goals.
QpiAI-Indus is a full-stack quantum computing system and combines quantum hardware with mechanisms and optimized software solutions. The system’s architecture integrates quantum processors based on superconducting qubits, next-generation Quantum-HPC software platforms, and innovative AI quantum optimization tool.
QpiAI’s achievement is a direct outcome of its selection as one of the eight startups chosen under the National Quantum Mission (NQM), an initiative led by the Department of Science and Technology (DST). The NQM, sponsored by a considerable investment of approximately $740 million USD across fiscal years 2023–2031, to quicken India’s skills across various quantum domains, including computing, communication, sensing, metrology, and materials. QpiAI’s launch to supports the NQM core infrastructure and advances original quantum technologies.
