Intel’s Raptor Lake Mobile CPUs
According to recent reports, the Chinese motherboard maker Erying Technology, which is best known for its Raptor Lake Mobile Micro-ATX motherboards, is moving into the Mini-ITX market using Intel’s Raptor Lake Mobile CPUs.
Further requirements regarding the chips themselves were not made public. Due according to what experts had the opportunity to see, the motherboard has single PCI-E Express x16 slot function no fewer than two M.2 connectors (on the front), two SATA 3 connections, including a six-phase distribution of power system.
The ideal physical configuration for Intel’s newly developed, more power-efficient mobile CPUs
The back panel of I/O encounters one internet crane, another HDMI the connection, one DisplayPort connection, five USB 2.0 ports, three USB 3 ports, a single Type-C connectors port, and four audio jacks. Furthermore, there’s also one Displayport connection alongside a Display connector.
Mobile Micro-ATX motherboards
If the boards in question are reduced versions of Erying’s Micro-ATX alternatives, then we must also assume that they are going to be loaded with Intel’s mobile devices B760M chipset. This will guarantee that the I/O connectivity is on par with that of standard mini-itx boards.
If you want to construct a system with very little processing power, the new motherboard alternatives that Erying has available will be ideal for you. It is possible for Intel’s most recent Raptor Lake mobile CPUs to function with very little cooling and low-power power supply units since they use a far lower amount of electricity than their full-fledged desktop counterparts do. Consumers will also have the ability to install a graphics card for gaming reasons if their computers have a PCI x16 slot.
As a point of reference, these motherboards do not have an upgradeable CPU route since Intel no longer manufactures mobile CPUs that are compatible with LGA (at least not anymore). Erying employs a bespoke mounting mechanism with an inbuilt vapor chamber cooler that fits between the CPU die and any cooler that is mounted on top in order to enable these mobile processors to function in a desktop environment. Erying is able to maintain cooler compatibility with Intel’s desktop boards, which include LGA 115x compatibility, by using this strategy.
It is still unclear how much these new Mini-ITX boards will cost or when they will be available, but if they are anything like their Micro-ATX predecessors, then it is likely that the Core i5 and i7 variants will be priced close to the $180 value mark. However, obtaining one could be difficult since Erying does not actively offer any of their Raptor Lake mobile-equipped motherboards outside of the Asian market. This might make obtaining one difficult.
