Inno3D Hides Power Cables of Graphic Cards

A graphics card manufacturer, has come up with a solution to hide the power connectors on their upcoming GeForce RTX 4070 and GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphics cards. Instead of removing the power connectors like Asus, Inno3D has placed them at the back of the graphics card, between the heatsink and backplate. This design choice by Inno3D offers a few benefits. Firstly, it improves cable management and the overall aesthetics of the build since the power cables are routed to the back of the graphics card. Secondly, it provides ample clearance space for bending the cable, which can be useful, especially for models that use the 16-pin power connector.

This is relevant considering the previous cases of 16-pin power connector meltdowns, which have made consumers more cautious when connecting and handling such cables. In terms of the specific implementation, the GeForce RTX 4070 AX eSports comes with a partially-removable backplate. Users can lift one-half of the backplate to reveal the 8-pin PCIe power connector. On the other hand, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti iChill X2 White is not as long as the 4070 model, so the same design couldn’t be applied. However, users won’t have to remove the entire backplate for this model either. Instead, there is a sizeable cutout where the 8-pin PCIe power cable can be plugged in.

According to MyDrivers, the GeForce RTX 4070 AX eSports and GeForce RTX 4060 Ti iChill X2 White will come bundled with white power cables to match the white theme of the graphics cards. Unfortunately, there is no information available about the pricing or availability of these graphics cards from Inno3D at this time.
