GMKtec, in collaboration with Intel China, has announced its plans to introduce a new lineup of Mini PCs powered by the upcoming Intel 1st Gen Meteor Lake & 14th Gen Raptor Lake CPUs later this year. GMKtec gained recognition for being the first PC vendor to launch a Mini PC featuring the AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS “Phoenix” APU, known as the NucBox K4, which is currently available for $519 US.

GMKtec will offer a variety of Mini PCs based on both the Intel CPU lineups. However, the company’s primary focus will be on the 1st Gen Meteor Lake CPU family, which will be branded under the new “Core Ultra” series. The Core Ultra lineup will include SKUs such as Core 5 Ultra, Core 7 Ultra, and Core 9 Ultra. With a disaggregated and hybrid design, the Meteor Lake CPUs are expected to provide a significant performance boost compared to existing Raptor Lake and Alder Lake chips.

These variants will primarily offer increased clock speeds and slightly higher power consumption. It’s worth noting that there are also 1st Gen “Core” series chips branded under the Raptor Lake Refresh lineup, but they are not part of the 14th Gen family. The 14th Gen Raptor Lake Refresh CPUs specifically encompass desktop and high-end “HX” SKUs designed for laptops.
