Improve Your Style with Galaxy Z Flip5 and Fold5 Case

For the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5, new partnerships with Korean artists Haydonna, Yeseul O, and Lee Eun have produced fashionable cases

Samsung Electronics has launched two new mobile accessories for the new Galaxy Z series, which are now available on Samsung.com and feature bright artwork created by promising new artists. On August 11, 2023, the collection of accessories—which includes one case each for the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip51—will be made available on the Samsung e-Store in 11 nations2 throughout the world, including France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

In order to give Samsung.com customers a unique opportunity to make a fashion statement with their new Galaxy Z series handsets, Samsung worked with up-and-coming Korean artists Haydonna, Yeseul O, and Lee Eun who are having a global influence. The chosen artists present their vibrant artistic viewpoints and record the upbeat voices of the younger generation.

Known for her vibrant graphics and upbeat aesthetic, Haydonna contributed to the design of the Galaxy Z Fold5 case by including her recognizable “Fluffy Friends” characters. Both Lee Eun and Yeseul O worked with Samsung to produce Galaxy Z Flip5 cases. Lee Eun is well known for her pleasant paintings employing brilliant colors, and Yeseul O makes creative art using 3D, augmented reality (AR), and metaverse features. Through her distinctive figure “Metabun_ny,” Yeseul O conveys the importance of enjoying the little things in life, while Lee Eun incorporates inspirational messages into her artwork.

With regard to the Galaxy Z Flip5, the works of Yeseul O and Lee Eun are transformed into animated designs using near-field communication (NFC) technology, giving users a fresh and engaging experience. The “Flipsuit card” with NFC technology is inserted into the case, at which point the image of the card appears as an animation on the Galaxy Z Flip5’s external screen’s Flex Window.

The Galaxy Z series accessories were created through a partnership between Samsung and these three artists, and they adhere to the newly popular idea of “Wholesomeness.” Through themes of optimism, kindness, empathy, and inclusivity — as opposed to negativity, criticism, and confrontation – Wholesomeness seeks to promote positive impact.

Evelyn Kim, Executive Vice President of the D2C Center at Samsung Electronics, said the company aims to give users of Samsung.com a rich and distinctive experience. “We will expand our collaborations with brands and specialists in various fields in addition to working with up-and-coming artists on the new foldable products to create synergy across our product lineup, which includes TVs and home appliances.”
