‘Gears 5’ streams today, and additional Xbox games will be supported as of Thursday, May 25, the first day of the 10-year partnership between NVIDIA and Microsoft.
GeForce NOW members can now stream Xbox game titles directly from GeForce GPUs in the cloud, offering an expanded gaming experience. The highly popular Gears 5, developed by The Coalition, is the first Xbox game to be available on GeForce NOW, with more titles from the Xbox library set to join the service later this month.
Expanded Gaming Experience with GeForce NOW
GeForce NOW members can now access a wide range of Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda titles, powered by GeForce GPU servers in the cloud. This means that gamers can enjoy these games on various devices, including underpowered PCs, Macs, iOS and Android mobile devices, NVIDIA SHIELD TV, supported smart TVs, and more.
Gears 5: The First Addition
Gears 5 is a standout addition to the GeForce NOW library. As the latest entry in the Gears of War series, it offers an acclaimed solo or cooperative campaign and a variety of PvE and PvP modes for team-based battles. Members can expect a thrilling gaming experience with this highly acclaimed title.
More Xbox Titles Coming Soon
GeForce NOW members can look forward to streaming additional Microsoft titles, including Deathloop, Grounded, and Pentiment, starting from Thursday, May 25. These Xbox PC hits, purchased through Steam, will be available to stream on various devices such as PCs, macOS devices, Chromebooks, smartphones, and more. Support for the Microsoft Store will be introduced in the coming months, expanding the range of available titles even further.
Enhanced Gameplay for Priority Members
GeForce NOW Priority members have the advantage of skipping the wait and playing Gears 5 and other supported titles at 1080p and 60 frames per second. For an enhanced experience, members can upgrade to the Ultimate tier and enjoy gameplay at up to 4K and 120 frames per second for stunning graphics, or even up to 240 frames per second for ultra-low latency, providing a competitive edge.
Regular Additions and Updates
GeForce NOW members can expect regular additions of PC games from Xbox to the library and stay updated on the latest news and release dates through GFN Thursday updates.
App Update: New Features and Improvements

Members can now easily find game discounts and other content through promotional tags displayed on featured games in the app on PC and macOS. These tags highlight compelling offers, such as new downloadable content, discounts, and free games, making it easier for members to discover exciting deals.
The app update also includes enhancements to in-app search, surround-sound support in the browser experience on Windows and macOS, updated in-game button prompts for members using DualShock 4 and DualSense controllers, and more.
