Apple Podcasts Launch Top Series Charts & Series Essentials

Several story series are highlighted on Apple Podcasts. Today is the first day that Apple Podcasts introduces a brand-new Top Series Charts, Series Essentials and celebration of key programs.

With episodes meant to be listened to in order, The Apple Podcasts is currently improving series narrative series that attract listeners across a variety of genres. This is the first-ever series show chart, as Apple Podcasts is introducing a new Top Series charts that will showcase the top 100 series and be updated on a regular basis. A brand-new Series category will also make it easier for listeners to explore and find shows it’ll adore. Last but not least, Ghost Story, an original limited series from Wondery and Audacy’s Pineapple Street Studios, will be the first series honored each month as Series Essentials by Apple Podcasts editors.

Some of the most influential podcasts are serialized ones, with exceptional writing and sound design, compelling voice talent, and overall excellence in podcasting. Even years later, Apple still talk about and can’t stop thinking about these stories,” said Ben Cave, Apple’s worldwide head of podcasts. In an effort to make it simpler for listeners to find their next favorite show, Apple Podcasts has launched a new Top Series chart, Series category, and Series Essentials in honor of this amazing archive.

The industry’s first chart for serialized shows, the Top Series charts is being introduced by Apple Podcasts. This new chart honors the producers of some of the most well-liked and trending shows on Apple Podcasts and provides listeners with a dedicated area to find their next favorite series show. The majority of the most popular and highly shared new shows each year are series shows. Top Series charts on Apple Podcasts are updated on a regular basis, much like all other charts.

Series Essentials

Series Essentials will highlight the best in podcasting, honoring the best narratives and the biggest triumphs of the medium. The editors of Apple Podcasts will select one program each month that not only captures the attention of listeners but also exhibits outstanding narrative, artistic brilliance, a unique creator’s voice and vision, and extraordinary skill. Every Series Essentials choice will be available entirely ad-free on Apple Podcasts during its highlighted month.

The first Series Essential selection, Ghost Story, anchored by seasoned journalist Tristan Redman, was picked because of its timeless and captivating story, which combines Redman’s personal family history with his own pursuit of truth. The show appeals to a wide spectrum of viewers by spanning several genres, such as true crime, personal narrative, and historical tale.

Ghost Story and other limited series presentations allow Wondery to work with top journalists and storytellers to find new ways to enhance this medium. Wondery CEO Jen Sargent stated. Series Essentials on Apple Podcasts are innovative and exciting because they promote these amazing stories and increase discoverability and listenership.

“We are overjoyed that Ghost Story has been selected by the Apple Podcasts as the inaugural Series Essential,” Redman stated. It’s remarkable to be included in this collection after only a year. Everybody is drawn to stories that captivate us. Podcasts with long-form series accomplish that; they should be honored.

This compelling novel starts with a haunting in a child’s bedroom, moves into a murder inquiry from the 1930s, and ends with a contemplation on the benefits and drawbacks of discovering family history. The narrative series members of the Dancy family who are closest to the inquiry, such as Tristan’s brother-in-law, actor Hugh Dancy, who is speaking publicly for the first time about the killings, as well as homicide detectives, ghost hunters, and even psychic mediums.
