Exciting news has emerged from the regulatory office of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) regarding Gigabyte’s forthcoming motherboards. In addition to updates for the AMD X670/B650 series, Gigabyte is also working on an upgrade for its Intel Z790 platform.
Last month, Gigabyte released a BIOS update for its Intel 600/700 motherboards, which utilize the LGA1700 socket. This update brought support for Intel’s next-generation CPUs. However, it should be noted that the term “next generation” may be an exaggeration, as the desktop update for the Intel LGA1700 socket is still anticipated to feature Raptor Lake silicon.
During Computex, Gigabyte unveiled its initial Z790 motherboards, distinguished by the ‘X’ branding, which signifies the updated version of their Intel motherboards. Notably, the AORUS Master X and AORUS Xtreme X were among the first designs showcased. However, recent information reveals that Gigabyte has many more Z790 “X” boards in the pipeline, including the following:

The “X” refresh will also extend to the AORUS Elite/Pro series, and there is mention of a first B760M motherboard as well. Specific details regarding the changes and improvements in these motherboards remain undisclosed at this time. However, early indications suggest the inclusion of 5 GbE networking and a potential WiFi7 update for the AORUS models.
Interestingly, there is mention of a new motherboard called “YT Pioneer.” This product name has not been used before, and there have been no leaks to shed light on its significance. It could potentially be a “content creator” design or a special version targeting a specific market segment.
In addition to the Intel platform, minor updates are also anticipated for AMD AM5 motherboards. Of particular note is the introduction of the “Arctic” design. Although details are scarce, it is likely that this board will feature a striking white aesthetic, potentially offering a refreshing transformation from the existing gray motherboard designs.
