NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3090 SUPER graphics card has been photographed once again, and these images show us the card that was intended to replace the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti but was ultimately shelved in favor of the Ti model. NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3090 SUPER graphics card has been photographed once again. The GeForce RTX 3090 SUPER graphics card manufactured by NVIDIA has been seen in use in a variety of recently released video games, including Battlefield V and Anthem.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 SUPER Graphics Card was intended to replace the RTX 3090 Ti, however it was discontinued
There is a considerable chance that this will not be the first time we hear about a SUPER variant of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090; in fact, the likelihood of this happening is quite high. There is a good chance that this will not be the first time that we have heard anything related to this subject. Ever since the RTX 3090 was made available to the public, gamers and fans have been anticipating the launch of either a SUPER or Ti model in a very short period of time to follow it.
In point of fact, speculations of a SUPER version initially began to circulate not long after the initial release of the RTX 3090. On the other hand, as most of us are aware, it took the computer hardware manufacturer NVIDIA a total of one and a half years before they introduced their most cutting-edge graphics card, which was given the moniker RTX 3090 Ti.
Now, fresh images of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 SUPER graphics card have been published, and they reveal a design aesthetic that is wholly matte and metallic black. Later on in 2017, it is anticipated that this card will be made available. The graphics card makes use of the same three-fan cooler that is utilized in the “Ti” edition of the Founders Edition, which is the most sophisticated version of the design. The “Ti” edition of the Founders Edition was released earlier this year.
It would seem that the decision to switch the naming scheme from “SUPER” to “Ti” was taken quite close to the day when the album was made available for the very first time in the marketplace. This is supported by the fact that we recall NVIDIA postponing the debut of the card by a few weeks back in time, which is a fact that we can now look back on.
The year before, we were also given the opportunity to see numerous other photographs of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 SUPER graphics card taken from a different vantage point. These images demonstrated the existence of such a model and provided further evidence of its availability. These images were shown to us as proof that the model really existed in the world. It was thought that the card has the same characteristics as the RTX 3090 Ti, including 10752 CUDA cores, 1860 MHz boost rates, and 24 GB GDDR6X VRAM operating over a 384-bit bus at 21 Gbps for a total of 1008.4 GB/s bandwidth.
However, this was later shown to not be the case. On the other hand, these assertions could not be verified. The card also featured the same BIOS version as the RTX 3090 Ti Founders Edition, which means that there is essentially no difference between the two cards other than some very minor tweaks to the cooler and the “SUPER” label. It was intended for usage in combination with the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, which was the primary target platform for its development.
Since then, NVIDIA has decided to stop producing the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics card, and in its place, the company has introduced the GeForce RTX 4090. Despite the fact that this is the case, NVIDIA is not in a hurry to build a more powerful “SUPER” or “Ti” model of the GeForce RTX 4090 in the near future.
