GPUs Called the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 4070 SUPER Are Reportedly Being Prepared by NVIDIA.

The leaker hongxing2020 is the source of the rumor. In the past, hongxing2020 has been very reliable with his leaks regarding the launch dates of several GPUs. In fact, hongxing2020 was among the first to report that NVIDIA would possibly rename its GeForce RTX 4080 12 GB graphics card, which turned out to be correct since the card was “Unlaunched” and renamed to GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. The most recent information on future GeForce RTX 40 graphics processing units (GPUs) reveals that they will be a member of the updated “SUPER” family.

It is speculated that the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and the RTX 4070 SUPER will be included in this updated lineup of GeForce RTX 40 GPUs. In spite of the fact that the GeForce RTX 30 GPUs do not use the “SUPER” name system, it is abundantly evident that such products did in fact exist before the business switched to a more straightforward “Ti” naming strategy for their branding. It is possible that NVIDIA may reintroduce the SUPER branding with the aforementioned cards in conjunction with the GeForce RTX 40 GPUs.

There is no mention of any specs, and the launch dates of the aforementioned cards have not yet been disclosed; nonetheless, these cards will most surely aim for 2024, and if we are fortunate, we may anticipate an announcement by the time CES 2024 rolls around. However, it is not the only piece of evidence that points to the possibility of a revamp.

More recently, a leaker by the name of MEGAsizeGPU disclosed that NVIDIA was working on a more powerful version of the RTX 4080. The same leaker said that the card will either use the “SUPER” or “Ti” branding, depending on which branding option was chosen. At this point, there are at least two sources leaking information that seem to have faith that the SUPER series will be produced.

The following are the rumored specifications for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER GPU:

The next NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Ti graphics card will be based on the AD102 GPU core. This implies that it will include a core configuration that is marginally superior to that of the RTX 4080 Non-Ti/S graphics card.

We could also receive a memory update with a 320-bit interface and 20 GB VRAM as the current RTX 4080 comes equipped with a 256-bit interface and 16 GB VRAM. The TGP of this new iteration is planned to be configured at 450W, but practically it will be in the region of 380-420W.

This card will attempt to cover the gap in performance and specifications that exists between the RTX 4080 and the RTX 4090. There is quite a large difference between the two cards. According to reports, the price of the card will remain the same as that of the already available RTX 4080; however, the non-SUPER model will get a price reduction, and this may also be the case for the other updated cards.

Once again, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 SUPER GPUs are only a rumor for the time being; however, given that numerous leakers are now pointing to this upgrade, it is possible that we may see them in the near future.

Even if these cards don’t launch with the naming schemes mentioned here, they are bound to show up at some point just like previous unreleased GPUs did. It should be pointed out that NVIDIA makes several configurations and branding schemes for cards prior to launch, but only one specific design is selected close to launch.
