Samsung Galaxy M55 5G Unleashes Power with Android 14 & 8 GB RAM

Samsung may be working on a new Galaxy A series smartphone, but it will still be mid-range. Several Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A25 leaks have emerged online. It has been said that the former will be released before to the company’s flagship Galaxy S24 series. The ‘SM-M556B’ Geekbench listing is an unpublished model that seems to belong in the Galaxy M series.

The smartphone was put to the test using an outdated version of Geekbench (4.2), so outdated that our test database contains no relevant results. The 3,575 single-core and 11,330 multi-core ratings, therefore, cannot be compared to those of other smartphones, and they are unsure of how they would do in comparison to other models.

In particular, SM-M556B is the model number that comes just after SM-M546B, which Samsung issued to the Galaxy M54. Samsung pre-loads Android 14 on the Galaxy M55, which should be identified as SM-M556B. They would anticipate Samsung to promote the Galaxy M55 with One UI 6 rather than Android 14 directly, even though Geekbench does not provide as much confirmation.

The smartphone received a score of 11330 in the multicore test and 3575 in the single-core test. It also verifies that Android 14 and 8GB of RAM are present.

Recall that the Galaxy M55 5G will take the place of the Galaxy M54 5G, which was unveiled in March of this year. With Corning Gorilla Glass 5, it boasts 6.7-inch Super AMOLED 120Hz display. It has 256GB storage, 8GB RAM, and an Exynos 1380 CPU. It ships with Android 13-based One UI 5.1.

Furthermore, the Galaxy M54 5G continues the tradition of the Galaxy M series, which has traditionally prioritized larger battery capacity. It supports 25W wired charging and has a large 6,000mAh battery. Silver and Dark Blue colorways are available for the gadget.

Moreover, ‘ARM implementer 65 architecture 8 variant 2 part 3399 revision 0’, a designation for the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, is used by the SM-M556B, according to Geekbench. Though it only beat its Exynos 1380 sibling by around 2% in our testing, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 is theoretically an improvement over the Exynos 1380, which drives the Galaxy M54.

The Galaxy M55 5G may operate more effectively than its predecessor thanks to the move from Exynos to Snapdragon due of its thinner 4 nm manufacturing process. That much is still unknown, though, as is whether Samsung will provide the Galaxy M55 5G with more RAM than the 8 GB model seen below.
