Samsung will introduce the T9 portable SSD, which will compete with the most advanced external solid-state drives now available on the market

A significant improvement over its predecessor, the Samsung T7, the Samsung T9 boasts performance that is up to twice as fast as that of its predecessor

Despite the fact that Samsung subsequently produced multiple iterations of the T7, such as the T7 Touch and the T7 Shield, the performance did not change

The T9 has a faster interface, which results in it being able to achieve sequential read and write rates of up to 2,000 MB/s

The T9 now comes with an extended warranty duration of up to five years, courtesy of Samsung’s improvements

The 1 terabyte T9 (MU-PG1T0B) and the 2 terabyte T9 (MU-PG2T0B) are both featured on the website of a French store called PC21

In the event that the pricing is accurate, we are looking at a price rise on the T9 that is between 31% and 42% higher for twice the performance

Since Samsung has already started working on the product pages for the T9, its release should not be too far off at this point
