Odyssey OLED Series: Superior Visual Quality With New Features to Prevent Burn-In
Samsung’s 2024 Odyssey OLED line includes the G8 (G80SD) and G6.
First 32-inch flat Samsung OLED gaming monitor with 16:9 aspect ratio and 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution is Odyssey OLED G8. Odyssey OLED G8 is Samsung’s first AI-powered OLED gaming display. Samsung Gaming Hub and the monitor’s native Smart TV apps can upscale video to almost 4K for enhanced gaming and enjoyment. Samsung’s 2024 8K TV uses the NQ8 AI Gen3 processor.
Samsung OLED Safeguard+, a novel patented burn-in protection technology, is featured in both new OLED models. By providing a pulsating heat pipe to the display, this device prevents burn-in before anyone else in the world.
Additionally, compared to the previous graphite sheet approach, which minimizes burn-in by lowering the core temperature, the Dynamic Cooling System diffuses heat five times more effectively by evaporating and condensing a coolant. To further reduce burn-in, the display also recognizes static graphics such as taskbars and logos and automatically dims their brightness.

With a brightness of 250 nits (Typ. ), the Odyssey OLED G8 and G6 both offer unparalleled OLED picture quality, while FreeSync Premium Pro maintains GPU and display panel synchronization to do away with choppiness, screen latency, and screen tears.
