The “RDNA 3” version of the AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT GPU 10 GB and 12 GB is now available in both 10 and 12 gigabyte capacities
According to documents filed inside the EEC, AMD partners seem to be working on the development of a new Radeon RX 7600 XT graphics card that might be available in 10 GB and 12 GB models.
It’s Possible That AMD Is Getting Ready to Release the Radeon RX 7600 XT Graphics Card in Both 10 GB and 12 GB Variants Soon
The graphics processing unit (GPU) for the AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT did get some attention around a year ago, but details about it didn’t become public until now. The 7600 XT was supposed to be the Non-XT model with a full Navi 33 GPU onboard, but the RX 7600 Non-XT already satisfied that configuration, which meant that there was no more place left to slot in an XT variant.
However, the most recent listing could offer us an indication of the upcoming Radeon RX 7600 XT SKU
The fact that the AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT graphics cards are included in the file with both a 12 GB and a 10 GB memory capacity indicates that the business has not yet finalised the specifications for these cards or that they may just go with two different models. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphics card is the only GPU available that offers a choice between an 8 GB and 16 GB VRAM configuration, both of which use the same bus interface. This makes it unique in the market.
If you had a model with 10 GB and a model with 12 GB, you would need a distinct bus interface for each model. In addition, in order to reach 10 GB of memory, the bus interface would need to be reduced by a little if the Navi 33 GPU were to be employed. This is even lower than the 128 bit bus that is included on the RX 7600 Non-XT GPU, coming in at 96 bits for the 12 GB model and 80 bits for the 10 GB model respectively.
It would be more reasonable to employ a scaled-down version of the Navi 32 GPU that has a little higher core count than the Navi 33 XT SKU, but this is only a theory for the time being.
The EEC file has a number of highly fascinating comments in addition to the Radeon RX 7600 XT; however, the mention of the Radeon RX 6750 GRE, which was rumoured to be coming in the near future, is the most intriguing of the bunch.
It was previously believed that the Radeon RX 6750 GRE would come with 10 GB of memory; however, the listing indicates that the GPU would come with an increased capacity of 12 GB VRAM. Although this has not yet been verified, it is quite likely that it is connected to the success of “GRE” variations, particularly in China, due to the fact that the launching of Radeon RX 7900 GRE did have an effect on the market there.
According to the information provided by the EEC listing, PowerColor has a total of four distinct models planned for the AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT. These models range from the “Hellhound” to the “Fighter” varieties of the company’s products. A release date has not yet been decided upon by our team. AMD did remark that its RDNA 3 GPU “ASIC” range was now complete and that we may see a few variants of the RDNA 3 SKUs inside the Radeon RX 7000 and a potential refresh in the future.
This was said in response to a question about whether or not the company plans to release any further RDNA 3 GPUs in the future.
