MSI Introduces VANGUARD RTX 50-Series Graphics Card

MSI introduced range of VANGUARD RTX 50-Series graphics cards at CES 2025. Although the most of the names in this lineup are well-known due to their lengthy histories, such as the SUPRIM, GAMING TRIO, and VENTUS, one name stands out: the VANGUARD series.

The goal of the VANGUARD collection is to capture the superior workmanship and quality of SUPRIM portfolio in a more colourful, energetic package. It’s ideal for people who adore SUPRIM Graphics Cards but would rather have a bolder style that lets you personalise your room.

Additionally, a limited-edition Lucky Around the World Blind Box will be included with in first shipment of VANGUARD graphics cards! Nine of the ordinary Lucky varieties are featured here, along with one secret variety that is not shown here due to extremely restricted supply.

Crafting the VANGUARD Graphics Cards: The Looks

The MSI VANGUARD RTX 50-Series graphics card is the ideal example of a combination of engineering and beauty. As soon as it catches your sight, its aggressive aerodynamic edges and shattered lines demand attention because they exude an air of unstoppable force and speed.

This design is further enhanced with futuristic RGB lighting suggestive of airship boosters, which you may customise to your preference. More than simply appearances, this expertly created design embodies unwavering quest for innovation in the marriage of performance and beauty.

Crafting the VANGUARD Graphics Cards: The Thermal Design

Similar to SUPRIM graphics cards from the RTX 50 series, the VANGUARD line has newest and best thermal design, the Hyper Frozr thermal solution.

What is Hyper Frozr?

With several enhancements to the heatsink, fans, and internal components, it’s most sophisticated thermal design to date, offering unparalleled thermal efficiency. It newest STORMFORCE Fans, an Advanced Vapour Chamber, the Wave Curved 4.0 heatsink with Filled Fins, and Air Antegrade Fins 2.0 are the main components of this next-generation thermal design from MSI.

Every component is made to harness the RTX 50 series graphics cards’ incredible potential and squeeze every last bit of performance out of NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs without exceeding temperature restrictions.

STORMFORCE Fans

Three STORMFORCE fans, each with seven claw-textured blades and a full circular arc design to optimise air pressure and direct airflow towards the centre, are a feature of the MSI VANGUARD RTX 50-Series graphics cards. It ensures peak performance for much longer under high loads by increasing airflow by 14.7% and cooling efficiency by 37.1%.

The STORMFORCE Fan operates whisper-quietly by pushing out more air at lower noise levels. It is the culmination of MSI’s thermal engineering expertise and combines decades of development to provide outstanding thermal efficiency.

Advanced Vapor Chamber

Every VANGUARD RTX 50-Series has a more sophisticated vapour chamber at its core that swiftly transfers heat from the GPU and VRAM to the upgraded core pipes. In comparison to its predecessors, this new vapour chamber is thicker and far more effective at eliminating heat.

Hyper Frozr: Heatsink Innovations

The Hyper Frozr truly shines with a number of heatsink advancements that increase efficiency and heat dissipation without making more noise. The first is the Wave Curved 4.0 heatsink, which has a high-low fin shape with wave edges that are especially made to improve airflow.

The heatsink filled fins, which use precisely designed fin structures to maximise surface area for heat dissipation while lowering air resistance, further enhance airflow. This eliminates all of the noise that comes with it and enables great cooling performance.

Last but not least is the Air Antegrade Fin 2.0, a thermal innovation designed to improve heat dissipation across the heatsink by adjusting airflow behaviour using fin stacks that are properly orientated. Again without increasing noise levels, it guarantees that cold air is directed into the heat centres.
