Intel AI Playground 2.0: Deep AI Innovation Platform

Intel AI Playground 2.0

Building on its modular architecture, AI Playground 2.0 offers a variety of new solutions that increase its functionality and value even in between versions.

Workflows

Intel have included a workflow mode option in the image settings for picture generation. By integrating ComfyUI as a substitute backend picture generation engine, this feature provides image generation procedures. You have the option to execute preset workflows dedicated to the AI Playground project using workflow mode. The following workflows are available at launch, providing you with access to more sophisticated picture generating models and higher production level features.

Flux.1-Schnell

Black Forest Labs’ Flux.1-Schnell model provides two workflows. With its strong fast adherence, support for text in the image, and superior quality output, this model has grown in popularity and repute. You can choose the location of items, their color and texture, as well as the words and phrases that should appear in the finished image, using this approach. Two workflows one for medium quality and one for high quality have been supplied. Compared to the medium-quality workflow, the high-quality version employs a more precise model, which could lead to better output, adherence, and text accuracy.

Line to Photo HD

There are two ways to manage an image’s output for visualisation and stylization. With this method, you can manipulate an image’s appearance by using the shape and structure of a reference image. It can be used to previsualize basic line art, design wireframes, or architectural drawings into fully realized photographic images. The original image’s structure and composition are preserved while you can specify the location, weather, time period, and other details using the text prompt.

There are two workflows available. Both employ the Canny ControlNet model to regulate the output using the structure of a reference image in addition to the SDXL JuggenautXL model for HD level imaging. Additionally, one has a quick LCM model that is comparable to the Default image generation’s quick button option.

Face Swap

Using the resemblance from an example reference image, you can manipulate the likeness of a text-generated image with this procedure. Just provide a prompt to describe the resulting image, upload a reference image all images stay local to your PC, and click produce. The final product is an image that follows your instructions yet has a similarity to the original.

Workflow Synch

You can download new or updated workflows that have been committed to the public AI Playground repository by clicking the workflow synch button. In between releases, these might offer new features and capabilities.

ComfyUI Editor

For users who are already acquainted with ComfyUI or who are interested in learning more about it have made its workflow editor directly accessible. This enables users to alter or build workflows for use in AI Playground or directly from ComfyUI. Workflows developed by the community and shared with AI Playground through Pull Requests to project are encouraged and welcomed.

GGUF Assistance

Intel included an experimental back-end option for the Answer part that uses Llama.cpp with GGUF support. This increases the number of models available in this format by enabling users to run GGUF models directly in AI Playground. Supported GGUF models are automatically added to the model list upon selection. Keep in mind that this feature is limited; the alpha release does not yet allow retrieval augmented generation (RAG).

It also added a brand-new Add Model function. This enables you to add particular model routes and HuggingFace Model IDs. When you first run the Runtime Installer, these models will show up in your model choice and be available for download.

Runtime Installer

The installation procedure has been changed to help with diagnosing installation issues and to make it more dependable and scalable.

Installation Manager

To enable users to control the installation status of different program components, it have included an installation manager. The installation manager can be used to reinstall any missing or damaged parts.

Single Installer

The latest version 2.0 features a single installer binary that can be installed on any compatible hardware, such as the Intel Arc Series A and B Series GPUs with 8GB or more of vRAM, the Intel Core Ultra-H Series 1, and the Intel Core Ultra Series 2.

Note: as this is an alpha preview, not all system environments will be completely tested and working. Before using, make a backup of any previous installations.

Backend Restart

In the AI Playground’s Basic Settings, opportunely included backend end restart buttons for every essential component using the Backend Installation Manager. Performance may be enhanced or restored by restarting these backends without restarting AI Playground.

UI/UX

The original Dark theme, the Intel Core Ultra theme, or the new Intel Arc theme are all available to customize your AI Playground experience. With AI Playground 2.0, it also added a new Intel Arc theme.

Resolution scale

Generative AI resolution settings might be challenging since you frequently need to know which resolutions the model supports. Intel added a resolution scaling capability to the Aspect Ratio tool to make this simple and flexible. The resolution scale can now be adjusted in megapixels (1 million pixels). Additionally, by establishing limits and defaults on the resolution you can choose for each image creation mode, it have established safeguards. Manual mode allows you to freely adjust the resolution.
