It appears that Samsung is getting ready to launch public testing for One UI 6, the update based on Android 14. Samsung Germany stated in a press release that One UI 6 Beta 1 would be released in a number of markets soon, beginning with the Galaxy S23 series, but it has subsequently removed the statement.
One UI 6, the company’s upcoming significant update that will be made available throughout its recent smartphone and tablet range, has received its first official details from Samsung Germany. As usual, Samsung will launch a public beta campaign first, according to a press release from its German business. Samsung Germany may have overreacted a little bit, as the press release has subsequently been removed from the company’s website. The whole text of the initial press release is nevertheless available via Google Cache, and we have embedded it below.
The Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra will therefore be the first devices to participate in Samsung’s upcoming One UI Beta program. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 will not. One UI 6 Beta will launch in Germany, South Korea, and the US before expanding to additional markets, according to the since-deleted press release. As per usual, if you access the URL on a Galaxy S23 series phone in one of the participating nations, you can sign up for the One UI Beta program through the Samsung Members app. The press release also details some of the key adjustments between One UI 5 and One UI 6, such a new user interface. The Quick Settings panel has been updated by Samsung, although it does not yet have the same features as Google’s Pixel devices. For complete details, please refer to the photos below. When One UI 6 Beta will start testing is still unknown. However, the prompt publication and removal of Samsung Germany’s press statement suggests that the complete release of this year’s beta will happen soon.
