OPPO ColorOS 14 Global Launches with Smart and Smooth Experiences

OPPO launched ColorOS 14 Global Version now. ColorOS 14, one of the first Android 14 operating systems, features an optimized Aquamorphic Design, AI-powered smart features for efficiency, upgraded self-developed technology for ultra-smooth performance, and an easy-to-use safety and privacy tool. Since its 2013 launch, ColorOS has more than 600 million global monthly active users, enriching lives with smarter and smoother experiences.

Aquamorphic Design optimizes UI for clarity

In ColorOS 13, OPPO introduced Aquamorphic Design, a new design language inspired by water, which united humans and technology. Based on ColorOS 13, ColorOS 14 optimized Aquamorphic Design with new sound effects, color systems, interactions, and more to simplify smartphone use.

Sound is invisible but crucial to user intuition. OPPO worked with professional academies to study users’ audio preferences and the world’s top sound design team to add new sound effects to ColorOS 14. Ten sets of Aquamorphic-themed call, alarm, and notification ringtones and seven global UI sound designs ensure a consistent audio experience across OPPO devices.

The upgraded Aquamorphic Colouring system in ColorOS 14 intelligently adapts to the smartphone’s status, time, and on-screen content. This dynamic coloring system intelligently matches colors with context to improve information reception and comprehension and create a highly immersive and comfortable user experience.

A new Aqua Dynamics design in ColorOS 14 makes user interactions more intuitive. Common forms of interaction are integrated into bubbles, capsules, and panels that expand from the status bar to present information naturally and seamlessly.

OPPO’s “Technology for Mankind, Kindness for the World.” is reflected in ColorOS 14’s new GO Green Always-On Display, which enhances Homeland’s powerful scenes of wild animals in nature. The Go Green AOD has three sets of Environment Vision pages with five environment-related animations that change based on users’ daily step count to show how walking reduces carbon dioxide emissions.

Enhancing Efficiency with AI-Powered Smart Features

AI has greatly increased efficiency. ColorOS 14 has impressive AI-powered smart features to boost daily productivity.

AI-powered Smart Touch lets users select text, images, and videos from the system and third-party apps2 and collect them on the File Dock or merge them into a single note with simple select and drag gestures.

File Dock on Smart Sidebar makes sharing content across apps easier via split-screen, floating windows, or Dock. Content can be automatically stored in the File Dock and synced across smartphones and tablets to boost productivity.

Smart Image Matting lets smartphone users crop multiple subjects like people and animals from a single image or paused video for the first time. Edit cutouts in File Pocket, File Dock, and split screen mode, share them with friends, and personalize wallpapers and posters.

Trinity Engine Upgraded for Smooth Performance

Users always prioritize smooth performance. Trinity Engine in ColorOS 14 optimizes computing, memory, and storage for smartphone stability.

Trinity Engine has three main features:

• ROM,
• RAM, and
• CPU Vitalization.

ROM Vitalization compresses app and file data in Phone Manager to free up memory. A smartphone with ROM Vitalization can save 20GB of storage.

RAM Vitalization improves multi-app efficiency and background app survival. RAM Vitalization improves usage fluidity by 10% and keeps frequently used apps running in the background for 72 hours by reconstructing Android’s RAM mechanism and using OPPO’s proprietary technologies. Switching apps is easier without disconnecting.

CPU Vitalization is OPPO’s leading system-level computing power scheduling technology. A sophisticated computing power model schedules power resources to optimize performance and power consumption. User experience is smoother without draining the battery.

ColorOS 14 also has Smart Charging, an AI algorithm that adjusts charging current based on smartphone usage to reduce battery wear. Arctic Mode has two scenario-based options.

Careful Safety, Privacy, and Other Features

Every detail is considered for safety and privacy. ISO, ePrivacy, TrustArc, and others recognize ColorOS. ColorOS 14 adds Picture Keeper and Android 14’s privacy features. This feature protects your personal photos and videos from app misuse. Since users enabled permission management, apps need permission to access selected photos and videos each time.

OPPO and Snapchat launched the Bitmoji AOD on ColorOS 13 last year. The smart Always-On Display is personalized to your Bitmoji and displays weather, physical activity, and other stickers throughout the day.

Snapchat’s lock-screen shortcut and Shelf widget are new in ColorOS 14. Snapchat can now be the lock-screen shortcut for faster access. The new Snapchat card for Shelf lets users see their closest friends’ messages, status, and location at a glance.

Launch plan for ColorOS 14

ColorOS 14 Global Beta Version began rolling out in October in select regions. The Global Version will first appear in select regions on Find N2 Flip.
