Asus PN65 Mini-PC with Meteor Lake CPUs

The Asus PN65 Mini-PC is an upcoming compact system that will be equipped with Intel’s 14th Gen Meteor Lake CPUs. With a form factor of 120 x 130 x 58mm, it offers a small and portable design. The system takes advantage of the new architecture and supports the latest connectivity standards, including 2.5G internet, Wi-Fi 6E, and DDR5 SO-DIMM memory.

According to the provided information, the mini-PC will be configurable with one or several of Intel’s upcoming 28-watt mobile Meteor Lake processors featuring Intel Iris Xe graphics. Meteor Lake is Intel’s next-generation CPU architecture, featuring enhancements like the Intel 4 node for improved density and efficiency, as well as a new packaging strategy known as tiles. Prototype Meteor Lake products have already been showcased at Computex, indicating that the release is imminent.

With all three drive slots occupied, the system can provide up to 6TB of storage capacity.

  1. Based on the new information, the mini-PC will come with two SO-DIMM slots supporting up to 64GB (2x32GB) of DDR5-5600 memory.
  2. It will also offer two M.2 2280 slots for NVMe SSDs(MSI Launch New NVMe SSD )with capacities ranging from 256GB to 1TB, as well as a 2.5-inch SATA slot for a maximum of 2 TB of HDD storage.

Additionally, the mini-PC will have various other I/O ports located on the front and rear, along with a Kensington Lock slot on the side for added security. The compact form factor of the mini-PC measures 120 x 130 x 58 millimetres (4.72 x 5.12 x 2.28 inches), making it small and portable. It is expected to weigh approximately 0.75 kilogrammes (1.66 pounds).

Assuming that the processor used in this mini-PC is indeed part of Intel’s upcoming Meteor Lake lineup, it will be interesting to see how it performs in a 28-watt power package. Looking at Intel’s 13th Gen lineup, 28-watt mobile CPUs are categorised under the P-series and can have up to 14 cores (including 6 P-cores and 8 E-cores) and 20 threads. It remains to be seen how Intel’s Meteor Lake CPUs will perform in terms of power efficiency and overall performance compared to their predecessors.
